Kiteboarding, like most sports, has inherent dangers. In order to understand and minimize the risks associated with the sport, we highly recommend taking lessons. Not only will lessons make your kiteboarding experience safer, but it will also make it more enjoyable and accelerate you along the learning curve. We offer private and group lessons. All of our instructors are experienced, professional, and PASA certified.

We provide all of the equipment necessary for all of our lessons. All of our phases are available everyday except Wednesdays, and lessons take three hours. Available sessions:

Before you enter the water you must first master your flying skills. In this introductory land based session, you will learn how to:

-Safely rig, launch, fly, land and de-rig a kite (all hands on and tons of fun).
-Interpret wind direction, speed and form a comprehensive understanding of the power zone.
-Learn what equipment will be appropriate for you.
-Understand what areas are appropriate, and not appropriate to practice honing your.
skills.

Phase II
Prerequisites - Phase I (either with us or another certified school)

Now that you have mastered your land skills, it is time to move into the water. In this session you will learn how to:

-Bodyskirf across our exclusive bay from Coronado to Chula Vista! We follow you closely on a jet ski, as your are pulled across the bay by an inflatable four-line kite. The jet ski allows us to be right behind you, in order to provide tips and answer any questions you might have. When it is time to land your kite, you simply release your kite and enjoy a jet ski ride back up wind to Coronado.
-Master upwind bodyskirfing, self rescue, and water re-launching your kite.

Phase III
Prerequisites - Phase I and II (either with us or another certified school)

Now that you have perfected your flying skills it is time to add the board. Enjoy the freedom of our secluded bay property as you take a long downwind ride while being followed by an instructor on a jet ski.

-Learn water starting, board control, and basic jibe techniques.
-When you complete Phase III you will be ready to rig, launch, ride, land and de-rig safely with your own equipment.

Private Lessons:
These lessons are available if you would like one-on-one focuses lessons. These lessons can be based on any one of the phases, or can be used to learn more technical maneuvers such as jumping, transitions, advanced jibing, or other aerials.

Lesson Info and Fees:
Phase I lessons are $170 per person. Phase II and III are $200 per person. Again, book now and put half of your total lesson cost towards the purchase of a complete kiteboarding package. Private lessons are $125 an hour with a minimum of 2 hours.
